We are expanding our volunteer programs at Foundation Communities and we need your help! If you have always wanted to volunteer for Foundation Communities but have not found the right area, we are here to help with that!
On May 8th we will host an open house event for anyone that is interested in learning more about Foundation Communities and our volunteer needs.

Here are just a few of the programs we will be talking about:
Cash for College: Assist teens and adults apply for federal and state student aid, find scholarships, and answer basic financial aid questions. Trainings are offered in January.
Community Tax Centers: Join hundreds of volunteers in providing free tax preparation for low income families. Volunteer trainings will be held in December and January. You don’t have to have a background in accounting. We’ll cover everything you need to know! Click here for more info.
Financial Coaching: Help our neighbors achieve financial stability and long term success with 1-on-1 coaching. You’ll provide them with the confidence and the tools they need to create household budgets, save over time, reduce debt, and improve credit scores.
Learning Center: Volunteer at one of our 10 Learning Center sites. Help children with homework to improve their grades or share your talents by leading enrichment activities.
English as a Second Language: Volunteers will work with instructors and ESL students by acting as a teaching assistant during the class and tutors in the homework class.
Money Management Instructors: Seasoned volunteer Financial Coaches will have the opportunity to teach Money Management Classes. The Money Management Class is a 3-class series that covers credit, debt reduction, and savings in depth.
Saving Green: Volunteers lead a series of hands-on, interactive workshops that provide Foundation Communities residents with the knowledge and tools they need to reduce their utility bills, limit their impact on the environment, and live healthier lifestyles.
Community Garden: Community garden volunteers will work on garden construction and beautification projects. These projects occur semi-annually at Foundation Communities community gardens, typically near the beginning or end of the growing season.
Holiday Assistance: Sponsor a family and bring a little holiday cheer to our residents who are unable to fulfill their family’s wish lists this year. Click here for more info.
Supper Club: Build community by serving a warm, nutritious meal and fellowship opportunity to our residents. This is a great opportunity for organizations and companies looking for group service projects! Volunteers will provide a potluck style meal for Foundation Communities’ residents at one of our many properties.
Welcome Home Baskets: Provide our new residents who have moved directly out of homelessness with basic household items like linens, plates, and towels
