Classes
We provide free classes on tax rules and requirements for self-employed persons. You will learn about legal requirements, local, state and federal taxes, receive tools to track your income and expenses, and receive other resources to help you succeed. The classes are free, offered in English and Spanish and at convenient locations.

What to bring when getting your taxes done for self-employed persons
In addition to the documents listed for everyone to bring
, if you are self-employed, please bring the following:
- If you were paid in cash, a calendar with amounts received, or some other listing of amount of income
- If you drive from one site to another as part of your work, a calendar with odometer readings or a list of miles you drove for work
- If you purchase items to perform your work and use these items only for work, you may deduct these expenses. List these items in the following categories along with their cost:

Equipment Contract labor
Tools Utilities
Protective clothing Supplies
