***Volunteer Spotlight: Free Minds Mentors***

Sometimes the hardest part is getting started. The Free Minds Project offers a free, year-long college course in humanities to low-income adults by removing the barriers to their education (child care, tuition costs, etc). Our mentors will help Free Minds graduates take the next steps forward as they move out of the classroom to pursue new goals. This can include setting deadlines, breaking the process down into manageable pieces, and helping to navigate the barriers that come with our mentee’s day-to-day lives. The mentor's main role is to provide the impetus and accountability in setting accomplishable goals, as well as providing the resources necessary to reach them. Click here for more details!
